Both have a job: the spring clip holds the mount to a suitable edge, while the magnetic ring holds your phone. It is not a suction-cup base or a clamp around the phone screen.
Does it work with my phone case?
The supplier describes compatibility with magnetic phones and cases, including MagSafe-compatible setups. Non-magnetic phones and cases need a suitable metal ring. Thick, textured or incompatible cases can reduce the hold. Test your exact setup before driving.
Will it fit every dashboard?
No. The base needs a sturdy edge the padded clip can grip securely. Fully flush, fragile or unusually shaped surfaces may not work. The supplier has not provided a verified maximum clip-opening measurement, so do not rely on a universal-fit promise.
Can I use it on the steering wheel?
